Sixth Form PHSCE
At Whickham Sixth Form we provide students with a range of talks, presentations, workshops and enrichment opportunities which helps to support their journey through sixth form and to prepare them for life after Whickham Sixth. We promote personal wellbeing and development through a comprehensive Personal, Social Health and Economic (PHSCE) programme that gives our students the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live safe, healthy and happy lives and to support them to become productive members of society.
PHSCE is delivered during Tutor time activities, Assemblies and PHSCE drop down days with content tailored to reflect important issues of the day and tailored to suit the needs of our students.
Integrated into our PHSCE Programme are the following Strands
- Step Up To Sixth From: Sixth Form Life & Study Skills
- Relationship, Sex, Health Education (RSHE): Consent, STI/STDs
- Health & Wellbeing: Mental Health, Nutrition
- Personal Safety: Driving, Drugs & Alcohol, Spiking, First Aid, Online Safety, Travelling Abroad, County Lines
- Careers and Aspirations: Post 18 Pathway planning, raising aspiarations, application support
- Finance: personal finance, student finance
