Sixth Form Admissions

 

Whickham school provides a breadth of courses for Post-16 (Sixth Form) students to study. The majority of the Sixth form students transfer from Year 11, but we have places available for external students.

The entry requirements for Whickham Sixth Form are largely dependent on the course students opt to study, each student will have a meeting to discuss the best route and options for them. The requirements for each subject are the same for both our internal and external students.

 

A-levels

  • All A-level subjects require students to have achieved 5 grades at or above Grade 4
  • Some subject have additional subject specific requirements which are listed below
  • Please note that the GCSE English requirements can be met either from GCSE EnglishLanguage or GCSE English Literature

in a science GCSE and a 5 or better in GCSE Maths

FrenchGrade 6 in GCSE French
Food and NutritionGrade 4 in GCSE English and 4 in Maths
