Whickham School has developed a wide range of sports related programmes in healthy life styles, sport participation, student leadership, coaching, international leadership exchange and exam qualifications. Ensuring that every pupil has the skills, confidence and knowledge to become independent, healthy and successful young adults.
A wide range of activities are offered to all pupils. Representative sports teams in school total over 25 different sports, thus enabling every pupil to find their niche and develop their talent. Pupils can take part in sport to develop their health and fitness, to represent school or for fun or to achieve national qualifications in coaching, leadership, umpiring and event management. We are proud of our primary school transition work. Every child in our Primary cluster of schools has the opportunity to take part in a range of sporting events at Whickham School throughout the year.
